Funded Childcare at Abingdon Kindergarten

We welcome families using government-funded childcare. You can take your funded hours term time or stretched across the year over 51 weeks, whichever suits your family best.

Term-Time Offer (38 weeks a year)

Your funded hours are used during term weeks only.

30 funded hours a week (have examples below)

15 funded hours a week

Stretched Offer (51 weeks a year)

Your yearly funded hours are spread across 51 weeks. You get fewer funded hours each week, but you use them all year round.

30 hours (1,140 hours a year) = 22 hours 21 minutes a week

Fully funded, no extra cost: you are welcome to collect your child as soon as their funded hours end. Private hours are always optional.

Early Starts

We open from 7:30am. A funded day runs from 8:00am to 6:00pm. If you’d like to drop off from 7:30am, this is charged as a private session at £8.40.

Deposits and Registration Fees

Bank Holidays

We are closed on bank holidays. For the stretched offer, funded hours are worked out over 51 weeks, so you still receive your full yearly funded entitlement. Any funded sessions which land on Bank holiday as well as our inset day are not claimed for with the Local Authority. If your are stretched funding with private hours we will avoid Mondays being allocated for funding as best as possible.
